Halloween Spooktacular at Splash!

Halloween week was full of surprises at Splash! The school was transformed into a colorful Spookville with lights, treats and fabulous costumes by the staff.  We had pirates and princesses in the pool and superheroes and cowgirls in the office to name a few-- Checkout our Facebook page for more photos!

Thank you to all the staff who made Halloween at Splash so fun for all.  We hope our students and families enjoyed it as much as we did, and we look forward to next year!

The warm, sunny days of summer have finally arrived, and Splash students have been staying cool and having fun with our Luau theme this month.

Also, hot weather means opportunities for extra practice for our students, and it shows-- there have been alot of ribbons awarded to our little swim stars in the past few weeks.  We are so proud of you!

Even Otters Need Swim Lessons!

baby swim lesson otter pup

We were recently sent a video of an Otter teaching her pup how to swim at the Columbus Zoo.

It is interesting that otters are not born with the ability to swim, but need to learn just like us.  And while the pups are not always eager for their first swim class, they succeed with encouragement and practice-- just like our students at Splash!

Enjoy!

Article on Baby Swimming in the LA Times

One of our parents sent us a link to a great article that was recently published in the LA Times about the benefits of starting swimming lessons early. We thought it would be of interest, especially to our Waterbaby parents and graduates. Enjoy!
